Intro Painting: Color & Value
Tuesdays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
8 classes: $499
This course, designed for novice and established artist alike, will provide students with the skills necessary to translate any setup into a fully realized piece of art. Through a series of exercises and studies, we will learn how to observe and break down images and setups into the essential components of shape, value, and color. Beginning with value scales and ending in painting from a live model, these lessons will build on each other to form a full understanding of the components of painting construction. Students will leave with a complete skills toolbox and the confidence to work from life in a variety of settings including independent open model sessions and subsequent classes.
